Sensors Instructions
Enhance your gaming experience by integrating your preferred chess set with our sensory chess board.
- Sensors diameter 35 mm (1.38″), 30 mm (1.18″), or 25 mm (0.98″).
- Thickness less than 1 mm.
- Self adhesive.
- Sensors work with any weighted pieces.
- Data encrypted.
- Patent: 11,369,862
INSTRUCTIONS
- Remove the felt from the pieces.
- Clean up the bottom of the chess pieces.
- Determine the base diameter of your chess pieces to select the appropriate sensor set. Opt for sensors with a larger diameter for weighted pieces, as they offer better performance. If the sensors are too small for larger chess pieces, they may not work at all or may work inconsistently. Feel free to reach out to us if you require a sensor set with different sizes than those currently available. We’re here to assist you.
- Fit the appropriate sensor for each type of chess piece, ensuring it is centered as accurately as possible on the base of the piece.
- Cover the sensor with felt (felt pieces not provided with the sensors). You can use the previously removed old felt pieces from step 1 or opt for new felt. Many tutorial videos on YouTube demonstrate how to refelt chess pieces, offering helpful guidance for those interested in the process.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- If the sensors are too small for larger chess pieces, they may not work at all or may work inconsistently.
- Avoid bending the sensors as they can break.
- When using liquid glue such as Elmer’s to adhere the felts, be cautious as the sensors may cease functioning while the glue is in its liquid state. Allow a full 24 hours for the glue to dry completely before testing the sensors again.
